lesson learned

men since day one were known to be nature nurturers.

the seminar went well and everyone participated. the thing that I love most is the LUPANG HINIRANG video of GMA. It was my first time to watch it and as well as appreciate it too. with that, I really said to myself that filipinos by nature are creative and idealistic in different ways or form may it be in arts, sports or science.

the speaker, Mr. Mike Enriquez did well during the seminar but for me, there are still lapses in terms of grabbing the attention of the audience. On the other hand, he shared about their core values and I can say that their core values are closely related to our values at school (pilipino nga naman :))

Maybe it is inevitable after roughly four years in studying this degree, but I have found myself growing quite tired of looking the media the way it is. My cynicism about teaching extends beyond it as a frivolous occupation in the future.

cebuanas are beautiful

I have ushered several people for the sake of other people but this one is different.

they say that opposite attract, but what drams me to this event is to assist the ambassador of Canada to the Philippines in our school.

I am so happy that Dr. Teoddie assigned this one to me! Butterfly stomach is indeed true but I know I can manage that one.

Then the Ambassador together with his mates arrived, I wore him the lay and greeted him with the warmest and sweetest smile I can offer and without any further a do, we proceed to the office of the president in order for him to meet the school officials.

To usher him straight to the hallway then to the CPA was one of the difficult task that to me happened, many students are doing their "rituals" while they are sitting on the floor. I need to catch his attention to focus more on the arrival or his trip down here to Cebu. He was so friendly!

At the CPA, during his speech, a brownout took place. It was awful at the same time embarrassing! Yet, the school technical staffs was able to manage it.

After the seminar, I ushered him for the last time. "CEBUANAS ARE BEAUTIFUL" he said, that sentence triggered my flesh as well as my soul. haha.. I was flattered (hoping that I am one of the cebuanas he was talking about).
:) :) :)

fish be with you

I never question what to do, it tells me what to do.
The photographs make themselves with my help.

I just think it's important to be direct and honest with people about why you're photographing them and what you're doing.  After all, you are taking some of their soul

one of the things I lament about myself, which is the butt of many jokes among those who know me well, is my veritable lack of mathematical skills. True, a creative eye is the key in photography, but a logical mind with a comfortable knowledge of structure is a big plus, too.

had i been born French and a century earlier, since my love to photos and paintings is to paramount! Madeleine Vionnet and I would have been friends. Of course, the relationship would have been more akin to adorer and adored rather than an equal companionship, but the  point remains. I would have liked to hang out with her.

The word "aspire" is defined as a dream, ambition or a goal meant to be reached.

And while the issue still contains the many delightful little festivities which give us the fulfillment that we have reached a stage in our lives where we can afford such happiness, however fleeting or temporary - like the travel destinations that would make quite a heavy dent in the usual girth of our wallets.

happiness is indeed all about balance.

And what greater goal is there than to be able to touch the lives of those around us, proving the age-old saying that it is "better to give than to receive", I am now very happy at my new internship place with my task at my shoulder.

life's festivities

festivities are everywhere, be tempted and reach for them as they will definitely make you desires come true.

You don't really need it but you want it, you may not be able to afford it but doesn't stop you from trying to get it, you definitely can't take it with you when you kick the bucket but that won't stop you relishing it while you still can. festivities, like the serpent in Eve's garden, have a way of making one question that bothersome conscience, making what is desired, however superficial or temporary, very difficult to deny.

To be in Sinulog Foundation Inc. has never been my dream internship place but I guess, the so called "call of nature" has took place. I was welcomed warmly by the staff especially by Mr. Ricky Ballesteros, our Executive Director.

The first few days has never been easy for me since I am going to encounter as well as to adapt new people with different attitudes.

On my second week, I still don't have my task and I felt awkward to my co-interns yet, they are so good and kind to me and all I can offer to them is my willingness to deliver invitations and letters to different schools and I am happy for it because I can still say that ...

I am not worthless.
